Welcome! You have reached the Rainbow of the Foothills Pony Club website. We are a local San Diego, CA based club that has been in existence since 1961!!!!  Our club educates members about horses and teaches leadership. We are part of the national Pony Club organization and fall within the Southern California Region.

Heartland Ranch in Lakeside and are always open to new members!  To find out about joining our club, contact Nancy Palm, at thepalms@cox.net.  

Our philosophy is based on the Pony Club Pledge which is:

“As a member of the United States Pony Club, I stand for the best in sportsmanship as well as in horsemanship. I shall compete for the enjoyment of the game well played and take winning or losing in stride, remembering that without good manners and good temper, sport loses its cause for being. I shall endeavor to maintain the best tradition of the ancient and noble skill of horsemanship, always treating my horse with consideration due a partner.”
